The Role
Darling Range Sports College (SC) an Independent Public School is seeking an innovative and enthusiastic HASS Teacher who can inspire students to engage in curriculum, strive for excellence and is proactive in improving student outcomes.
The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to provide students with the highest quality curriculum delivery and programs within the HASS learning area. The role ideally requires previous experience as a teacher in the Senior School, flexibility and adaptability to apply differentiated instruction and explicit teaching strategies, and an ability or experience in teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or Certificate courses would be advantageous.
A major focus of the College is the implementation of Explicit Instruction (EI) across all learning areas. Experience using EI is not a prerequisite; a willingness to incorporate EI into classroom practice is required. Knowledge or completion of Classroom Management Strategies (CMS) and Instructional Strategies (IS) professional workshops is highly desirable.
