* Permanent part time role, 23.33 hours per week across 2 salary classifications
* Continuous rotating roster over 7 days, 3 days on 3 days off rotating roster

About the Role – Unique Dual Classified Role
Join a supportive Nutrition and Food Services team in a unique dual‐classified role that combines hands‐on catering with team leadership responsibilities. Working across WHA2 Catering Assistant and WHA4 Catering Assistant Team Leader duties, you'll bring variety, flexibility and leadership to a service that supports patients, staff and visitors every day.
* Prepare salads, sandwiches and hot breakfast items
* Reheat meals and support tray line service
* Update meal lists and adjust menu slips
* Manage ingredients, stock rotation and food displays
* Assist with cashiering, functions and meal service
* Maintain hygiene, food safety and clean work areas
* Lead floor staff and support daily team coordination
* Check meal quality, trays and special diet requirements
* Update patient menus with nursing staff
* Liaise with dietitians, nursing staff and diet monitors
* Support food preparation, plating and meal presentation
* Assist with staff training, rosters and quality programs
Roster and Hours
* Rotating roster across 7 days
* Work 2 x WHA4 Team Leader shifts, 1:15pm–7:45pm
* Followed by 2 rostered days off
* Rostered days rotate weekly across a 6‐week cycle
About You
You are a flexible and team-focused catering professional who enjoys variety, supports others and takes pride in delivering high-quality food service across both hands‐on and team leader duties.
* Bring catering or food service experience
* Support smooth meal service and food preparation
* Lead by example and assist staff on shift
* Adapt confidently across WHA2 and WHA4 duties
* Communicate well with patients and multidisciplinary teams
* Follow menus, procedures and food safety standards
* Stay organised in a busy, fast‐paced environment
