**About Ballarat Day Procedure Centre**
Ballarat Day Procedure Centre comprises of three operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery and Dental.
We are looking for an Endoscopy Technician to join us on a permanent full-time or part time basis.
This role is an integral part of the peri-operative team whose role encompasses the cleaning and the appropriate handling and storing of endoscopes.
Training and support will be available for the successful applicants.
**The Role: -**
- Reprocessing of endoscopes -gastroscopes and colonoscopes
- Conduct regular machine/equipment tests and report the malfunction and/or failure of same
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Ensures optimal working condition of endoscopes and associated equipment
- Appropriate certification (or equivalent e.g., demonstrated reprocessing experience) or willing to undertake technician training
- Strong consumer focus and high attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a team-orientated environment as well as independently
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of WHS Legislation and relevant Codes of Practice re safety in the reprocessing environment
