You will join a tier-1 mining client operating a large-scale surface mine, supporting day-to-day production geology activities that contribute to safe and efficient mining operations. This is an 8/6 roster role, offering a balanced lifestyle while working within a supportive technical team.
In this 6-month contract position, you will support grade control activities, assist with ore identification, and help ensure accurate geological information is available to guide mining decisions. You will work closely with mining, survey, and technical teams to support daily production requirements and maintain confidence in ore and waste delineation.
This role will suit a geologist who enjoys being site-based, working across both field and office environments, and contributing to the smooth delivery of mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out grade control mapping and ore marking activities
* Support daily production geology and mining operations
* Assist with data collection, validation, and reporting
* Help maintain geological records and updates to models
* Work with mining and survey teams to support ore tracking
* Contribute to reconciliation and production reporting processes
