Overview

In this role, you will oversee core financial operations, support strategic growth initiatives, and ensure strong financial governance across a rapidly expanding network. You will work closely with senior leadership to manage budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance, contributing directly to the financial strength and long‐term success of a dynamic, innovative organisation shaping the future of community pharmacy.
Responsibilities
* Financial reporting and analysis: Where necessary, prepare monthly management reports, monitor business performance, analyse results and variances, and prepare cash flows.
* Support to Chief Financial Officer: Where required, provide support to the CFO on policies, procedures and strategies, based on the analysis of monthly management reports.
* Operational support: Where necessary, attend to the day-to-day duties required for business performance, including maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable/receivable and reconciling accounts.
* Continuous improvement and innovation: Identify and contribute to opportunities for improvement to financial systems and workflows.
* Administration: Maintain up-to-date records within the company's accounting software to ensure data is current for use in reporting to senior management.
* Cash flow monitoring: Oversee cash management to ensure timely and accurate debtor collection and payments to creditors.
* Stakeholder management and partnerships: Liaise with external service providers (bookkeeper, accountants etc) on matters related to the company's operation and performance.
* Proactive reviews: Continual review of the company's core operations to identify any areas of concern or possible growth and opportunity within the company.
* Project management: Where necessary, contribute to the implementation of strategic projects.
