The opportunity
Help shape the future of Australia's digital health system. As a Clinical Information Modeller / Informatician, you'll play a key role in designing national health data standards and enabling the safe, consistent exchange of clinical information across healthcare systems. Working within the Sparked FHIR Accelerator team, you'll collaborate with clinicians, government and industry to translate real‐world healthcare needs into scalable, interoperable data models that support better care and smarter systems nationwide.
Your high‐level duties will include:
* Developing and governing structured clinical data models, to align with current clinical practice.
* Supporting the development of clinical terminology to achieve high quality data and interoperability among diverse health information systems.
* Supporting the development of clinical use cases, workflows and clinical test data.
* Facilitating workshops with clinicians and vendors, including pre‐and post‐workshop documentation
Role particulars
Location and office arrangements: Brisbane, QLD; Sydney, NSW; Canberra, ACT; Melbourne, VIC; Perth, WA; hybrid working options available.
Salary: AU$135k – AU$158k per annum (pro rata for part‐time), plus 15.4% superannuation
Tenure & work schedule: Specified term of 2 years; full time (part‐time arrangements can be discussed based on individual circumstances)

Essential Criteria
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as health, clinical practice, health informatics, health information management, biomedical science, or equivalent relevant experience in the healthcare domain.
* An understanding of clinical healthcare practices, workflows, and regulatory requirements related to clinical documentation and health data exchange in Australia.
* The ability to engage stakeholders through negotiation, consultation and facilitation, supported by strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to apply these in complex project environments.
* An understanding of medical terminology, including anatomical terms, procedures, diagnoses and medications.
* An understanding of the Sparked and Clinical Design Group (CDG) community collaborative approach.
