What does the job look like?
Linfox's Intermodal business unit has an opportunity for a Fleet Allocator to join our Victorian Road team. In your new role, you'll partner with our internal teams and our sub-contractor network to coordinate daily freight movements, manage real‐time allocations and bookings to ensure freight is delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer expectations.
This is a full‐time permanent opportunity located at our Laverton North site, working Monday – Friday either from 7am – 3pm or 8am – 4pm. Key areas:
* Allocate freight and coordinate fleet movements across subcontractors and company drivers
* Manage bookings within customer portals and secure capacity to meet service requirements
* Communicate with drivers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure alignment on daily operations
* Maintain accurate job, load and allocation data to support transport systems and KPI reporting
* Resolve service issues and escalations, including changes to prior day allocations
* Monitor safety compliance activities including yard checks and coupling/uncoupling KPIs

* Prior experience within a similar operational role within the Transport/Logistics industry
* Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including our sub‐contractor network and internal teams
Curiosity to identify improvements and contribute to process and operational initiatives
Confidence using transport systems to manage bookings, allocation data and workflows
* You thrive in a fast‐paced environment, with an eye for attention to detail and excellent time management
* You have a strong commitment to drive operational safety and compliance across our business
