Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will play a critical role in developing policies, standards, procedures and governance documentation that underpin nuclear safety, assurance and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have experience producing structured documentation in highly regulated environments, such as defence, aerospace, energy or medical. Strong capability in policy/procedure development, document governance and controlled document libraries is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop policies, management plans, standards and procedures to support the Nuclear Management System
* Convert complex technical and regulatory information into clear, structured documentation
* Adapt partner-sourced artefacts into Australian and enterprise standards
* Coordinate document reviews with technical SMEs, safety specialists and governance leads
* Manage version control and document release workflows through corporate systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience producing structured documentation in highly regulated environments (defence, aerospace, energy, or medical)
* Strong capability in policy/procedure development, document governance and controlled document libraries
* Confidence engaging technical SMEs and distilling complex information into clear guidance
* NV1 clearance (held or previously held) is desirable. Candidates without current clearance may still be considered, with clearance sponsorship available subject to eligibility.
* Knowledge of defence documentation systems beneficial but not mandatory
