About The Role
As a Staff Specialist or Rural Generalist - Emergency Medicine, you will provide high quality emergency care to patients across the North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS), including telehealth support to remote facilities. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative and accredited training environment while contributing to education, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives. Flexible part‐time arrangements are available, including temporary six‐month contracts, roster flexibility, position sharing and fly‐in/fly‐out (FIFO) options.

Requirements
* Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
* Hold unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Senior Medical Officer Rural Generalist: Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Rural Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP‐RG) plus procedural skill in either Emergency Medicine (Generalist Emergency Medicine or ACEM Advanced Diploma preferred) or Rural Generalist Anaesthesia.
* Staff Specialist Senior Medical Officer: Fellow of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM). Relevant experience across a broad field of Emergency Medicine.
* While not mandatory an interest in Emergency Medicine research would be well regarded.
* The position requires the incumbent to be rostered outside of "ordinary hours", typically working 10‐hour shifts on an 8 on 6 off fortnightly roster. Part‐time roles are negotiable.
* C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
* Pre‐employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including criminal history checks.
* This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
* A period of probation may apply.
