We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and organised Social Worker to join our dedicated staff.
The Social Worker is an integral part of the overall pastoral care of the school, focusing on the student in the school environment in order to facilitate successful learning outcomes.
The position requires a qualified Social Worker to assess and develop strategies to address emotional and mental health needs of children, young people and their families, within an educational context.
This position will be a part-time for 6.5 hours per day over two days.
Workdays are negotiable.
Selection Criteria: Successful Applicant will be required to Be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and parents Counsel and Support students with their individual social and emotional needs Provide strategies to assist teachers in building positive relationships and resilience in students Liaise with the school Principal and class teachers to establish strategies and action plans that will promote collective responsibility for student well-being and assist in implementing and maintaining whole school wellbeing approaches of students, staff and the wider school community.
Work collaboratively with parents.
Qualifications Required: Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Worker Hold or willing to attain relevant Accreditations required to teach in a Catholic school All employees of Catholic Education Western Australia are required to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.
