The Role
An opportunity has become available for three Provisional Fellows - Transition Year (Adult Intensive Care Unit) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-solid team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Participate in the consultant roster with the support from experienced and qualified intensivists Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (FCICM) for graded and direct supervision
- Work 50 hours per fortnight allocation to clinical duties, including on call on the Specialist roster after the first three months
- Take on exposure to non-clinical duties such as echocardiography, education, simulation and research
- Assume other non-clinical duties dictated by the unit activity which can include line insertion and Junior Medical Officer supervision
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- Registered Trainee with the college of Intensive Care Medicine (CICIM) and be eligible to commence training as a transitional year Fellow
- Completion of all aspects of Advanced Training prior to commencement in this role
- Qualification and registration with AHPRA
- Evidence of vaccination and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 19
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for current employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (3 positions, up to 12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $4822.20 - $5591.00 per fortnight
