This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely practical financial accounting role where you'll take ownership of core processes like month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting. It's suited to someone who already has a solid foundation in financial accounting and is ready to deepen their capability in a fast-paced, real-world environment.
Unlike roles that focus on forecasting or high-level strategy, this position is about doing the work that keeps the numbers accurate, reliable and trusted. You'll work closely with the Finance team, operational stakeholders and auditors, contributing to a function that values strong fundamentals, continuous improvement and accountability.
From day one, you'll be embedded in the month-end process, delivering insights, strengthening controls and helping ensure the business has confidence in its financial position.
What You'll Be Doing
* Completing monthly close processes including journals, reconciliations and financial reporting
* Analysing income statements and balance sheets to ensure accuracy and integrity
* Preparing and supporting indirect tax obligations including BAS, FBT and insurance-related returns
* Strengthening and documenting financial processes, controls and governance practices
* Coaching and supporting Assistant Accountants
What Great Looks Like
* CPA/CA qualified with solid experience in financial accounting
* Strong technical skills across general ledger, tax compliance and financial reporting
* A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to identify risks and improvements
* Ability to manage deadlines, complexity and large volumes of financial data
* Ownership-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement and team contribution
