About The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to transition from industry into teaching (or continue your teaching career) in a hands-on, practical learning environment. You will deliver high-quality vocational education and training in heavy diesel automotive, working closely with apprentices and industry stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, competency-based training and assessment across automotive programs
* Prepare and adapt learning materials to suit a self-paced learning environment
* Support student progression through mentoring, feedback and employer engagement
* Conduct practical assessments and ensure training meets industry and compliance standards
* Build strong relationships with industry to ensure learning remains relevant and future-focused
About You
You're an experienced automotive professional who wants to share your knowledge and invest in the next generation.
To Succeed In This Role
* Strong heavy diesel experience (road transport, mobile plant or agricultural machinery)
* A collaborative, team-focused approach with strong communication skills
* A passion for mentoring and developing apprentices
* Solid technical knowledge with a willingness to keep learning
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE) OR willingness to obtain
* Relevant vocational qualifications at least to the level being delivered
Highly Regarded
* Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems or diagnostics
* Breakdown or field service experience
* Exposure to emerging technologies (e.g. EV or advanced systems)
