Job Description
We are seeking a skilled HSE professional to fill a 12-month contract position in Northern Queensland.
This is a boots-on-the-ground role, supporting safety, training, and wellbeing across diverse regional sites. Safety isn't policed, it's championed.
The Opportunity
You'll work closely with frontline teams, contractors and leaders to embed safe work practices, coach in real time, and support injury management, training, inductions and assurance activities.
* Advise and coach teams on WHS practices and risk management.
* Lead safety inductions, refreshers, and verification of competency.
* Oversee injury management and return-to-work plans.
* Conduct field-based assurance, investigations and contractor onboarding.
* Support HSE reporting, wellbeing initiatives and committee participation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong experience in HSE roles in infrastructure, construction or heavy industry.
Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field.
Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
Lead ICAM investigation qualification.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Manual Class C driver's licence.
