Graduate Enrolled Nurse – August 2026 Intake

Program dates: 3rd August 2026 – 1st August 2027.
Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub‐regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. We are located in the City of Sale, 215 km east of Melbourne, an ideal access point for the Gippsland Lakes, 90 Mile Beach and the Victorian Alps.
We are launching a 12‐month, fixed‐term rotational graduate programme to support newly graduated Enrolled Nurses and help them build confidence and nursing skills across the aged care sector.
* Designed for newly graduated Enrolled Nurses who want support during a graduate programme.
* Two clinical rotations over 12 months – one in a single‐purpose residential aged care facility and one in a multi‐purpose facility combining residential aged care and sub‐acute or acute care.
* Includes dedicated educational support and a Graduate Coordinator, two paid days of orientation, paid study days and supernumerary time at the start of each rotation.

About the Role
Graduate Enrolled Nurses undertake two clinical rotations over 12 months, with dedicated educational support and a Graduate Coordinator. The programme includes paid orientation, paid study days and supernumerary time at the start of each rotation.
Duties
* Work collaboratively with all members of the CGH team.
* Manage time and prioritise patient care.
* Demonstrate a high standard of ethical behaviour and professional practice.
* Work within a culture of excellence, ethical conduct and inter‐disciplinary collaboration.
* Support patient, client and community participation in decisions at all stages of care.
* Work within CGH policies, procedures and code of conduct.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Newly enrolled nurse with AHPRA registration (completed studies within the last 18 months) or a Diploma of Nursing student who will complete studies before July 2026.
* A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A caring and empathetic nature; a passion for delivering resident‐centred care.
