The Role
We're looking for a Casual Demi Chef to join our friendly, close-knit kitchen team.
If you're passionate about fresh, flavoursome Italian food and want to grow in a supportive kitchen environment, this is the perfect opportunity.
You'll work across Julio's restaurant, in-room dining, and events, creating delicious, consistent dishes that leave a lasting impression.
What you'll do
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes aligned with our menu and recipes
Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special functions
Support the kitchen team by maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and prep standards
Work closely with Front of House to deliver smooth, memorable dining experiences
Assist with deliveries, inventory checks, and reducing food waste
Mentor junior team members including Commis Chefs, Cooks, and Apprentices
Perform additional duties as required during busy service periods
What we need from you
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar
At least 2 years' experience in a kitchen setting
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Flexible availability across days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays
Working understanding of HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards
