About the Company
Our client is an established and innovative organisation with a global presence. They invest heavily in scalable, secure, and modern IT systems to support their continued growth, and they're looking for a hands-on IT Engineer to help drive that mission forward.
You'll be joining a global infrastructure team and take ownership of maintaining, improving, and supporting critical systems across both AU and NZ offices.
About the Role
As the IT Engineer you will be responsible for the systems that support data, applications, video, and wireless network services.
You'll be working with and supporting a range of core infrastructure including, networks, firewalls, Microsoft 365, and Intune. You'll work closely with global and local stakeholders, providing expert-level support, implementing policies, and leading infrastructure improvements.
This is a hands-on role - perfect for someone who thrives in a varied environment with the ability to work autonomously.
Key Responsibilities
* Deploy, maintain, and optimise IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, backups, endpoints).
* Manage and enforce Intune policies and Microsoft 365 configuration.
* Configure and support Firewalls, VPNs, and WAN connectivity.
* Provide escalation-level support for critical incidents or issues.
* Support and troubleshoot Windows Server, VMware, file servers, and Teams Phones.
* Collaborate with the global IT team on infrastructure projects.
* Ensure systems are secure, documented, and aligned with best practice.
* Occasionally work outside standard hours for upgrades or urgent projects.
About You
* 5+ years' experience in IT System, Support or Infrastructure roles (Ideally level 3)
* Microsoft Intune (policy management and deployments)
* VMware, SAN Storage, and backup technologies
* Microsoft 365, Teams, and Teams Phone
* Firewalls and VPNs (Ideally Fortinet)
* Strong understanding of networking (routing, switching, firewalls)
* Able to work both independently and collaboratively
* Task-focused, organised, and proactive
* Comfortable supporting a multi-site environment (AU/NZ)
