Are you a creative and experienced Testing & Operations Engineer I looking for a dynamic role where your skills will make a real impact? Located at our orbital launch site in Bowen, Queensland, this role plays a vital part of the Testing and Operations Team, contributing to all testing and launch operations across the business. You will help execute propulsion tests on liquid bi‐propellant engines, hybrid rocket engines, pump feed systems, and other associated sub‐systems. You will participate in the planning and execution of operations as part of the launch team. So, what are you waiting for? Key Responsibilities
* Conduct testing and participate in test reviews on both launch vehicle systems and sub‐systems.
* Participate effectively as part of a launch operations team for the purpose of executing launch missions.
* Establish a deep level of understanding of launch vehicle sub‐systems through hardware test campaigns.
* Generate test procedures for hardware testing and for the operation of a launch vehicle.
* Participate in the handling and maintenance of propellants, hardware and test equipment as required to execute test campaigns.
* Develop an intuitive understanding of technical and safety risk as it relates to the work you conduct.
* Other duties as requested by Management.
Mandatory Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline such as Aerospace Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
* NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred.
Desired Qualifications, Skills and Experience
* Experience testing aerospace or mechanical systems either in previous employment, as part of extra‐curricular activities or as a hobby.
* Sustained enthusiasm and interest in space technology and its application for space commercialisation and exploration.
* Demonstrated resilience and ability to perform in a fast‐paced and safety‐critical environment.
* Experience with engineering software including scripting and coding languages, and Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to effectively communicate with a range of staff in the business including engineers, technicians, WHS officers, supervisors and other support departments.
