Job Description
The role: This is a new position for the Symal Group, a diverse role where you can take ownership and further expand your career in IT.
This is a really important role for the Symal Group as you will deliver a high-quality service to end users and to ensure service support and delivery processes are in place to meet the overall business needs. This is a diverse position being a mix of travelling to sites, providing end user/desktop support along with remote access support from the Brisbane office. As there is travelling to company sites, there will be a need for you to have a valid driver's licence and a reliable car.
You will be working with a very supportive team that are based predominantly across the East Coast of Australia and who you will engage with on most days.
Your everyday:
This position will consist of however not be limited to:
* Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person.
* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
* Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems.
* Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and software applications.
* Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Create and update knowledge-based articles to enhance self-service options for end-users.
* Manage IT assets, including inventory tracking and maintenance.
* Work independently and unsupervised while maintaining a high level of productivity.
* Deliver polite, proactive, and customer-focused support.
* Document incidents, resolutions, and procedures accurately.
* Travel to project sites and other locations when required.
Who are you:
Ideally you will have had previous experience working with:
* Proficiency in networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
* Proficiency across the Microsoft Stack (e.g. M365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra, Active Directory)
* Proficiency across Windows and mobile operating systems (Windows, Android, iOS) and common software applications.
* Proficiency across networking equipment.
* Proficiency across Audio Visual and Print equipment.
* Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
* Awareness of security best practices and protocols.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Effective time management to handle multiple tasks and able to prioritize urgent requests.
