Associate Manager Corporate Services at Department of Education, Western Australia.
Overview
We are looking to build a pool of Associate Manager Corporate Services for permanent, fixed‑term, full‑time and part‑time positions that may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies commencing in this period.
School Overview
Kelmscott Senior High School is a school of chance. It offers Department of Education endorsed specialist programs in Agriculture and Music, a Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance Program, and a range of Kelmscott Academic Academy (KAA) in Mathematics, Science, English, Humanities and Social Sciences. The school promotes students to be active citizens at the local, state, national and international levels and provides access to language exchange programs, the National Schools Constitutional Convention, Premier's ANZAC tour and World Scholar's Cup.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Manager Corporate Services with school financial performance, promotions and public relations, building and assets, human resources, and school and student administration.
- Provide strategic operational input to the development of the school’s workforce and business plans.
- Lead operational enhancement, financial planning and strategic budgeting.
- Model effective customer and administrative support service delivery and use excellent interpersonal and communication skills when working with the administration team, school support staff, the school community and teaching staff.
- Coordinate the provision of corporate services and operations aligned with school business targets and objectives, ensuring financial integrity, compliance and reporting.
Selectio n Criteria
- Demonstrated well developed written communication, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to deal and negotiate with a wide range of individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated well developed financial skills, including budget preparation, monitoring and reporting, and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Demonstrated considerable understanding of, and ability to apply, human resource management and customer service principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to provide input to the development, implementation and monitoring of business and strategic plans.
- Demonstrated sound conceptual, analytical and problem–solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, process improvements, problems and solutions.
Eligibility
- Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
