Overview
UGL is seeking an experienced Lifting & Rigging Supervisor to support a major LNG Turnaround at Wheatstone. This 4‐month contract runs on a 2:2 roster (12‐hour days) and commences June 2026. The role involves providing critical support during the execution phases of a major LNG turnaround and is ideally suited to a supervisor with strong LNG / TAR experience, a solid understanding of Lifting & Rigging Planning, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‐paced, high‐compliance environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a team of Scaffolders, Riggers, and Crane operators to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration in executing project tasks.
* Enforce and promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation activities adhere to industry safety standards and company policies.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of work meets project standards and specifications.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for electrical activities, coordinating with other disciplines to optimise project timelines.
* Efficiently allocate resources, equipment, and materials to meet project requirements and deadlines.
* Foster effective communication within the team and collaborate with other discipline supervisors and project managers to address challenges and ensure smooth project progression.
* Proactively identify and resolve issues related to activities, providing innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
* Ensure accurate and timely documentation of rigging & lifting activities, including daily reports, progress reports, and any required project documentation.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Lifting & Rigging Supervisor within LNG / Oil & Gas turnaround environments.
* Strong hands‐on experience with planning and execution (mandatory).
* Working knowledge of JDE and CMMS‐based job planning systems (highly desirable).
* Strong Excel capability and high computer literacy (PowerBI and web‐based tools advantageous).
* Ability to work independently while engaging effectively with client representatives.
