Armenty Law is a newly established boutique law firm based in Eight Mile Plains. We are seeking a part time experienced, reliable, and highly organised Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations of the practice and assist in maintaining compliance with legal accounting obligations.
This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, take initiative, and has prior experience working within a law firm environment, particularly with legal trust accounting and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing day-to-day office and trust accounting functions
* Handling trust account receipting, payments, reconciliations, and record keeping
* Ensuring compliance with Queensland Law Society trust accounting requirements
* Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Preparing invoices and monitoring outstanding debtor balances
* Assisting with monthly and end-of-financial-year accounting processes
* Liaising with external accountants and trust account examiners
* Managing payroll, superannuation, and general office financial administration
* Maintaining accurate financial records and data entry
* Assisting with billing and matter financial management
* Monitoring cash flow and assisting with internal financial procedures
* Supporting implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes
Qualifications
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in an Accounts Manager or similar role within a law firm
* Demonstrated experience with legal trust accounting
* Strong understanding of legal accounting compliance and financial procedures
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
* Professional communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Experience using legal practice management and accounting software
* Experience with Smokeball, LEAP, Xero, or similar systems
* Familiarity with Queensland trust accounting requirements and legal compliance obligations
* Experience preparing for external examinations or audits
* Conveyancing and settlement financial experience (preferred but not essential)
