Perioperative Registered Nurse Job Opportunity
We are seeking a part-time Registered Nurse Scrub/Scout to join our team, working 48 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday. This role does not involve weekends, on-call shifts, or public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care based on evidence and best practices.
* Prepare the theatre complex and equipment for surgery in a safe and efficient manner.
* Maintain patient safety and communicate effectively with the surgical team throughout the procedure.
* Evaluate patient recovery and address any complications promptly.
* Provide education and support to patients for post-surgery recovery, promoting their well-being and independence.
* Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses during shifts, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Requirements
* A genuine passion for nursing and delivering exceptional patient care.
* Solid experience as a scrub/scout in a perioperative setting, with a strong understanding of operating room procedures.
* Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or a related field, with current registration with AHPRA.
* Desirable specialties: ophthalmology, endoscopy, plastics, skin, vascular, and general surgery.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the nursing team.
