We are seeking a qualified and passionate Chef to be part of a team creating high-quality, nutritious meals that meet the dietary needs of our aged care residents. Your Role – More Than Just Cooking - As a Cook at Lutheran Services you will be part of a team that: Prepares and presents varied, nourishing, and appetizing meals that align with dietary needs and preferences. Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment, maintaining hygiene and compliance standards. Collaborates with catering staff, residents, and care teams to enhance meal services. Work with the Head Chef to fostering a high-performance and team-driven culture. Assist with menu planning, budgeting, and stock control. Collaborates and innovates with the team to deliver continuous improvement cost-effectiveness and resident satisfaction. What You Bring to the Table A relevant trade qualification (Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent). Experience working in a commercial kitchen, ideally in Aged Care or large-scale catering. A valid Queensland Driver’s Licence. Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and guide staff. Knowledge of safe food handling practices and WHS compliance. Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
