About the program
AIR6500 is the RAAF’s $3 billion program to develop a joint air battle management system that builds on the capabilities offered by Next Generation sensor and command and control systems. AIR6500 will create a fully networked ‘system of systems’ that synchronises air and missile defence operations in joint and coalition environments, maximising situational awareness and enhancing the speed of decision making across the battlespace.
Your responsibilities will include:
As the Lead Cyber Architect, you will be responsible for cyber security management, architecture, development, design, test and integration of systems. You will champion best practices to drive informed risk-based decisions regarding controls that maintain integrity, visibility, compliance, and resiliency.
Additional responsibilities will include;
1. In-direct team leadership and mentorship
2. Define System Security Architectures and oversee design implementation, test, and integration for system security across incremental capability deliveries
3. Perform system reviews, provide recommendations that mitigate system security risk, author core Security Documentation in support of System Authorisation
4. Define secure solutions for a wide range of contemporary container orchestration architectures Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) advice and guidance to a range of stakeholders with respect to security architecture, application security and DevSecOps
About you:
To be successful in the role you will an advanced understanding of cyber security and cyber resilience within the defence industry and significant experience in systems security engineering, along with;
5. Hands on experience and a thorough understanding of the Australian Government security Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) process
6. Extensive experience defining security services and design patterns, and aiding development teams in implementation
7. Impressive experience in performing and leading cyber risk assessments
8. Are well versed working with cross domain solutions and multi-level security architectures
Special Requirements:
Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or re-instatable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.
