Overview
Become part of something truly large-scale by stepping into one of Australia's most iconic, remote, and impressive pastoral operations. The station is a large operational sheep station, covering approximately 2.4 million acres and running Merino sheep with annual shearing, located 400 km east of Kalgoorlie, WA, on the western edge of the Nullarbor Plain. This is an extremely remote location.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Assist station management with livestock programs, monitoring stock condition and growth rates.
* Livestock handling including mustering, processing and general sheep work as needed.
* Inspect, maintain and record watering points including bores, troughs, windmills, tanks and pipelines.
* Service and maintain mono pumps, solar bore systems and windmills (training provided).
* Carry out fencing maintenance and general outstation infrastructure upkeep.
Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated experience with sheep, waters/bores and windmills on a sheep station.
* Practical fencing skills and sound mechanical aptitude.
* Genuine interest in remote station life with the ability to work independently.
* Strong observation, record‐keeping and communication skills.
* Unrestricted manual driver's licence.
Additional Particulars
* Semi‐furnished 3‐bedroom homestead + groceries and accommodation expenses covered.
* Fare reimbursement to the station after probation period.
* Opportunity available for a partner; families with small children considered (no schools).
* Wages/salary negotiable and paid according to skill level.
