Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort & Spa, located in the picturesque town of Port Douglas, just an hour's drive north of Cairns, offers a range of accommodations including studios, two and three‐bedroom apartments, and a three‐bedroom beachfront private villa. The resort features all‐day dining at ALUCO Restaurant & Bar, a Pool Bar, and the Vie Spa with customised facial treatments and massages. With two meeting rooms accommodating up to 200 guests and three additional wedding locations, we cater to both leisure and corporate travellers alike. During your downtime, explore everything the region has to offer, from the Great Barrier Reef to the Daintree Rainforest.

Purpose

As Assistant Housekeeping Manager, you are the driving force behind our Housekeeping team's success. You oversee the achievement of daily cleaning excellence, uplift team spirits, and shape our team into cleanliness champions. With your coaching finesse, you will guarantee the team consistently delivers top‐tier cleanliness and productivity, ensuring a sparkling and secure stay for our guests.

Primary Responsibilities

* Work closely with the department manager to assist in overseeing the daily operations of the entire housekeeping department.
* Foster team motivation and growth by providing guidance and training to enhance their skills.
* Procure cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping‐related inventory while managing budgets and controlling expenses.
* Track labour expenses and productivity relative to occupancy rates, while also conducting daily inspections to assess room cleanliness standards.
* Efficiently allocate rooms for team members during shifts to maintain an even workload distribution.

Skills And Experience

* A sharp eye for detail and previous leadership experience in Housekeeping.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills, along with a friendly and outgoing personality.
* The ability to think on your feet to keep things running smoothly throughout the day.
* A high standard of personal grooming and a polished appearance.
* Willingness to not only lead the team but to also work alongside them to ensure their success.
* Reliable transportation and availability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and public holidays.
