Are you a skilled carpenter who wants meaningful work that improves people's lives? HiLine Home Modifications helps older people remain safe, independent and confident in their homes through practical home modifications.
We are looking for an experienced Carpenter / Installer to join our on-road team, delivering specialised home modifications across Adelaide.
Responsibilities
* Carry out home modifications and installations within clients' homes across the Adelaide metropolitan area.
* Install grab rails, handrails, banister rails and hand showers.
* Build and install timber steps, decks and access ramps.
* Construct rubber ramps and accessibility solutions.
* Undertake first and second fix carpentry work.
* Prepare materials and load/unload the company vehicle.
* Complete site safety assessments and daily van checks.
* Take before‐and‐after photos using company systems.
* Complete job sheets, measurements and installation paperwork accurately.
* Communicate professionally with clients, Occupational Therapists and supervisors.
* Work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
* Hold a Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent trade qualification.
* Have solid hands‐on carpentry or installation experience.
* Possess 3–5 years of carpentry or installation experience.
* Enjoy practical problem‐solving and working independently.
* Take pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail.
* Be approachable, patient and comfortable working in people's homes.
* Confidently use hand and power tools.
* Hold a current White Card.
* Hold a current driver's licence with a clean driving record.
* Hold a current C Class (Car) driver's licence.
* Maintain an acceptable driving record (assessed on a case‐by‐case basis).
* Have strong communication and organisational skills.
* Have full working rights in Australia.
* Willing to obtain, or already hold, relevant clearances including Police Check, NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check and Aged Care requirements.
* All applicants must be willing to undertake a pre‐employment medical and drug and alcohol screening prior to commencement.
