Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA) is delivering capability to the Australian Defence Force by uniting the best Australian and South Korean technology and practices.
HDA's manufacturing facility known as the Hanwha Armoured Vehicle Centre of Excellence (H-ACE), next to Avalon Airport in Geelong, will bring high technology vehicle manufacturing back to the region.
About the role
As a Cost Analyst, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the production financial analysis and cost management support for the company's key projects and initiatives.
What you\'ll be doing
Preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for project planning and management
Analysing production costs, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to ensure projects stay on budget
Providing regular cost reporting and performance analysis
Collaborating with key stakeholders to gather and analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights
Implementing and maintaining effective cost control systems and processes
What we\'re looking for
Demonstrated experience of cost / project accounting within the manufacturing industry is preferred
Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, financial and variance analysis
Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools, such as SAP, Excel
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
