About the role
Graduate Registered Nurse to join our growing team on a part time (0.8EFT) fixed term basis. The program is designed to help you transition confidently to a career in nursing through hands on experience, professional development and strong clinical support.

Graduate Program Streams
* General Graduate Nursing Program – 12 months Build broad clinical experience across a variety of acute care settings.
* Collaborative Program with Latrobe Community Health Service – 12 months Complete 6 months at LRH and 6 months with Latrobe Community Health Service.
* Collaborative Program with Maryvale Private Hospital – 12 months Undertake 6 months at LRH and 6 months at Maryvale Private Hospital.
* Mental Health Nursing – 12 months Gain specialised experience in mental health nursing within a supportive multidisciplinary environment with 6 months mental health and 6 months general nursing.
* Peri-operative Program – 18 months Complete 6 months in surgical nursing followed by 12 months in the peri-operative suite, building specialist skills in theatre nursing.
Note: Placement allocation is based on operational requirements of LRH.
About You
* Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
* Eligibility to participate in a Graduate Nurse Program
* Australian or New Zealand citizenship, Australian permanent residency, or Australian‐trained temporary residency with current working rights
* Not previously participated in a Graduate Nurse or Graduate Nurse/Midwifery Program at a hospital or health service
* A National Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain)
* Current influenza vaccination, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement

* Complete and submit your PMCV application (excluding the video interview component)
* Submit your application directly to Latrobe Regional Health (careers portal) and indicate on your application your preference of programme
Before commencement
* Provide evidence of an original and valid National Police Record Check, an employee Working with Children Check, and a current season influenza vaccine (if applicable to work area), unless a valid medical exemption applies
