Collaborative Healthcare is an innovative, independent and locally owned medical practice. We provide medical services at the practice and at various aged care facilities – from pregnancy through to end-of-life care. About the role
Collaborative Healthcare is seeking a Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team in Joondanna, WA. This is a full-time/part-time position offering an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a general medical and surgical setting. You will play a vital role in supporting our clinical operations, working alongside doctors and healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive excellent care and support.
Key responsibilities
* Providing direct patient care including health assessments, vital signs monitoring, and wound management.
* Assisting with minor surgical procedures, dressing changes, and other clinical interventions as required.
* Administering medications and immunisations under appropriate supervision and in accordance with clinical protocols.
* Preparing patients for medical examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
* Taking detailed patient histories and recording clinical information accurately in patient records.
* Providing patient education on health conditions, treatment options, and preventative care.
* Supporting the management of chronic disease programmes and health screening initiatives.
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised clinical environment compliant with infection control standards.
* Collaborating with the wider healthcare team to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient outcomes.
* Managing administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, medical records management, and stock control.
What we're looking for
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered Nurse (RN).
* Experience working in a general medical and surgical nursing environment, preferably within a primary care or general practice setting.
* Strong clinical knowledge and competency in nursing assessment, treatment and care delivery.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse patient populations.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
* Commitment to continuing professional development and maintaining current clinical skills.
* Knowledge of infection control procedures and workplace health and safety standards.
* Proficiency with electronic health records systems and general office software.
* A compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on quality outcomes.
