Schedule: 2-5 days per week
(Open to having 2 nannies to cover the week)
Hours:
* Monday: 7:30am – 6:30pm
* Tuesday: 7:30am – 6:30pm
* Thursday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
* Friday: 3:00pm – 7:00pm
For the afternoon shifts Wednesday–Friday, additional hours can be catered for if the person wants to take on further housekeeping duties.
About the Family
A warm, easy-going and close-knit family based in Roseville, NSW is seeking an experienced, proactive and nurturing nanny to support their two young children, aged 4.5 and 2.5 years. The family enjoys spending time together, maintaining active routines and creating a fun, loving environment for their children. Mum is currently managing a long-term chronic illness and physical disability and requires practical support with the children's daily care and routines. Upcoming surgeries will also mean periods where the nanny will take on a greater level of responsibility, even while Mum is at home. The family is looking for someone who genuinely enjoys becoming part of family life and can confidently step into a supportive role, helping to create consistency, structure and fun for the children.
The Role
This is a varied and rewarding position involving both childcare and assistance with children's routines and household organisation.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Planning engaging activities and outings
* Taking the children to swimming lessons and sports activities
* Kindergarten drop-offs and pick-ups
* Supporting meals, bath time and bedtime routines
* Encouraging outdoor play and minimal screen time
* Managing two children with different personalities and developmental needs
* Preparing nutritious children's meals
* Assisting with behaviour guidance using calm, positive and consistent approaches
A Typical Week
Monday
* Take both children to swimming lessons
* Home for lunch and nap
* Afternoon outing or activity
* Dinner, bath and bedtime routine
Tuesday
* Kindergarten drop-off for the eldest child
* Sports activity with the younger child
* Lunch and nap
* Afternoon activity
* Dinner, bath and bedtime routine
Wednesday to Friday
* Arrive and assist with light household tasks and dinner preparation
* Pick up children from kindergarten
* Afternoon play and activities
* Dinner, bath and bedtime routines
There may also be opportunities for occasional Friday evening babysitting, weekend care and additional hours for candidates interested in undertaking further household support.
Household Duties
The children's care will always be the priority. When time permits, duties may include:
* Children's laundry
* Tidying children's bedrooms and play spaces
* Kitchen clean‐up related to children's meals
* Ensuring clean pyjamas are available each evening
* Putting away grocery shopping
* Picking up forgotten dinner items while out
* Signing for deliveries when home
* Assisting children with baking and special family occasions
Ideal Candidate
The family is seeking a nanny who is:
* Experienced caring for multiple children simultaneously
* Confident managing age‐appropriate challenging behaviours, tantrums and emotional regulation
* Calm, patient and consistent
* Fun, enthusiastic and engaging

* Comfortable supporting routines independently

The ideal nanny will not be overwhelmed by normal childhood behaviours such as crying, refusals or tantrums, and will be able to respond with confidence, warmth and patience.
Requirements
* Childcare qualifications preferred (minimum Diploma highly regarded)
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
* Current Working With Children Check
* Full driver's licence with a safe driving record (Family car available for nanny to use whilst at work)
* Confident swimmer and comfortable supervising children in a family pool during summer
