This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2026 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency.
The school is Jerramungup District High School (DHS) located in the wheat and sheep farming community of Jerramungup, 440km southeast of Perth, within the Fitzgerald Biosphere. Students from five small towns and communities in the region attend DHS for secondary education. The school currently caters to students from Kindergarten to Year 10.

The role will ideally have experience in the delivery of the Western Australian Curriculum and will deliver an engaging and relevant Health and Physical Education curriculum within the school context. Candidates should possess strong behaviour management and organisational skills, be reflective practitioners who actively engage in activities to improve professional practice, and be student- and relationship-focused, innovative and motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments. The role may extend beyond the Health and Physical Education area, requiring flexibility to support the Science curriculum across classes of varied abilities.
As an expert practitioner, the candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and engage in regular self‐reflection, creating environments conducive to learning and providing purposeful and relevant educational opportunities for different student learning needs.
