We are seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to provide person‐centred support to participants in Gaythorne, QLD. The role involves fostering independence, collaboration, and safety within a supportive team environment.
What you'll be doing
* Support daily living with purpose: help participants build confidence and independence in everyday routines.
* Encourage independence: empower clients to make choices and build confidence.
* Stay connected: join participants in community activities, social programs, and outings such as shopping or events.
* Collaborate with care: work closely with participants, their families, and key supports to understand goals and preferences.
* Keeping things on track: maintain clear and accurate records, review support plans, and follow best‐practice guidelines.
* Champion rights and voice: help participants express views, raise concerns, and feel heard and respected.
* Look out for safety: identify and report risks or concerns to supervisor promptly.
* Uphold best practice: use approved, trained restrictive practices only when required and with compliance.
What we need from you
* Current NDIS Worker Screening and WWCC (if required).
* First Aid Certificate.
* Driver's License.
* Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
* Completion of New Worker NDIS Induction Module before commencing employment.
* Clear Police Check.
* Smartphone.
* Relevant experience and skills; recommended qualifications: Certificate III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
