2027 Hutcheon and Pearce Service Technician Apprenticeship
Start Date: Apprenticeships Commence January 2027
Timeframe: 4 years
Training and Experience
Years 1 – 3: Formal Training
* Engage in six weeks of intensive training each year.
* Participate in blocks of classes at the John Deere High-Performance Academy in Wagga Wagga.
* Receive instruction from industry experts, covering engine service, electrical systems, hydraulics, and GPS technology.
Year 4: On-the-Job Experience
* Apply your skills in a real-world setting to address specific areas for improvement.
* Ensure all competency criteria are met and gain confidence in your abilities.
Training: You'll complete a Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology through TAFE NSW and the John Deere High-Performance Academy in Wagga Wagga exclusively with other Hutcheon and Pearce apprentices.
TAFE Attendance: For the first three years, you'll attend six 1-week blocks of classes each year in Wagga Wagga. The fourth year is designed to provide you with the opportunity to put your learning into practice in the workshop.
Support: You'll have a dedicated Training and Apprenticeship Coordinator to assist you throughout your apprenticeship. Additionally, there are over 500 employees with diverse knowledge and skills available to lean on for support.

Interview Process
Interviews are held on two separate days. If successful, you must be available to attend the interview day at your chosen branch; travel may be required.
