This role offers stability, professional growth, and the opportunity to serve your community in a meaningful way.What We're Looking ForFellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalentCurrent registration with AHPRA or eligible for registration4+ years of experience as an Emergency Staff SpecialistDemonstrated senior level experience, special interest or higher training in key subspeciality areas such as Research, Geriatrics, Mental Health, Paediatrics, Trauma or Toxicology.What You'll DoProvide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages and backgroundsLead clinical decision-making in high-pressure situationsMentor junior medical staff and students and contribute to their professional developmentCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient careParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance activitiesSupport emergency department growth and development through expertise in key special interest areasWhere you'll Work43-bed unit with over 45,000 annual presentations and a 30% admission rateReferral centre for Northern TasmaniaHigh-acuity, broad-spectrum caseload—including a significant paediatric component—supported by all major specialties and an ICU with ECMO capabilityConsultants provide direct clinical supervision from 8am until midnight, seven days a week with an on-call service outside these hours.A FACEM group with expertise in ultrasound, paediatrics, retrieval, international EM, medical education and leadership.ACEM accreditation for 24 months of Emergency Registrar Training, including TS4 (late phase training).

Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement ****In addition, the following allowances and benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every yearProvision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or motor vehicle allowance of $28,786 per annum, pro rataParticipation in Private Practice Scheme 35% or allowance in lieu of private practice schemes 35%Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS).
