Job Description
Employed by TFA and working collaboratively with NSW Touch Football, the Growth Manager – ACT and Southern NSW is responsible for the operational delivery of Touch Football across the Australian Capital Territory and Southern NSW, driving participation growth, building affiliate capability and delivering sustainable competition programs aligned with the ACT and Southern NSW State Action Plan. Reporting to the General Manager – Growth & Innovation, this role leads a team of coordinators to activate player, coach and referee pathways and ensures Touch Football is accessible, inclusive and thriving across the region. This role strengthens relationships with key stakeholders including the ACT Government, Canberra Raiders, NSW Touch Football, West South West Suns and local affiliates.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive participation growth across the Australian Capital Territory and Southern NSW.
* Activate player, coach and referee pathways and ensure inclusivity.
* Deliver sustainable competition programs aligned with the State Action Plan.
* Build affiliate capability and support regional development.
* Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders: ACT Government, Canberra Raiders, NSW Touch Football, West South West Suns, and local affiliates.
Qualifications and Experience
* Working with Children / Working with Vulnerable People Check
* Drivers Licence
* Experience in sport development, community sport management, or regional leadership roles
* Experience managing budgets and financial performance
* Knowledge and understanding of Touch Football
* Experience working in cross-border or regional sport structures and collaborating with state or territory sporting organisations
* Experience managing staff and leading teams
* Experience with grant applications and funding acquittals
* Tertiary qualifications in Sport Management, Business, or related field
