Business Banking (BB) Payments supports retail to institutional Banking customers. The Domestic Payment Product team is responsible for the product management and development of CBA’s payment solutions.
Reporting to the Chapter Lead, Payments Product Management, you will be part of the Domestic Payments Crew who is responsible for driving payment usage and conversion through channel engagement, frontline initiatives, process improvement, enhanced reporting as well as opportunities to migrate BECS capability.

As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for obtaining information from various sources to generate meaningful business insights on performance and customer behaviour against key objectives.
You will also be accountable for driving product performance, continuous improvement, risk buy-down initiatives and ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.
The role will require you to work closely with other Payments product teams, coverage, sales segments, risk, compliance, operations and analytics teams, in order to drive business outcomes.
Your key responsibilities / focus areas will include :
Deep product knowledge for Direct Entry, BPAY and Cheques, including understanding of relevant scheme requirements.
Representing CBA at respective scheme workshops
Strong proactive risk management and delivering risk initiatives to strengthen product risk profile.
Leading and coaching junior team members, and building overall team capability
Delivering product features or process enhancements, including both internal and external marketing, communication and training, and relationship building activities
Monitoring business results of recently introduced or enhanced processes and recommending modifications in product features, process, and marketing approaches to improve results and embed take up against key objectives
Responsible for proactively managing risks associated to the products
Building and fostering strong relationships across the product value chain e.g. frontline teams, digital, compliance, risk and marketing to ensure efficient delivery of product roadmap and resolution of issues
Working closely with Product Owners and technology teams to define and document detailed feature business requirements
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
Deep understanding of the end-to-end domestic payments processes with sound knowledge of the Financial Services Industry (at least 5 years’ experience)
Project Delivery - Experience in Product Management, productivity, process management disciplines with a focus on delivery / project delivery
Advance stakeholder management skills with a proven history of influencing senior leadership across Product, Distribution and Risk Management
Advanced understanding of business customersand their journey across digital and assisted payment channels
Advanced problem solving capabilities – need to have the motivation and be comfortable with investigating and providing recommended options / solutions to complex problems
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deliverables concurrently
Analytical mindset- need to be comfortable working with multiple data sources and generating relevant business insights and data backed recommendations to improve performance and customer experience
Commercially relevant degree at under-graduate or higher level
In addition to the above, customer engagement experience in some capacity, will also be highly regarded.
