About the role
The successful applicants will work in a busy ophthalmology department with extensive experience in all aspects of ophthalmology. In this role, you will provide clinical and surgical services in a range of settings, including the multidisciplinary pre‐admission clinic for patients referred by community ophthalmologists and optometrists, postoperative assessment, and outpatient clinics covering medical and surgical retina, paediatrics/ocular motility, corneal and oculoplastic services. The department serves both adult and paediatric populations and handles complex medical cases.
You will work independently while being part of a multidisciplinary, quality‐focused team dedicated to efficient service provision and patient care in a diverse community.
About You
* Ability to perform routine cataract surgery independently.
* Ability to perform intravitreal injections and retinal laser treatments.
* Ability to perform ROP screening of low‐risk neonates.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team providing quality patient‐centred care.
Mandatory requirements of the role
* Primary medical degree (MBBS) or equivalent.
* Australian working rights required.
* Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra).
* Employee Working with Children's Check.
* Two satisfactory reference checks.
* Clear police check conducted within the last three months.
* Current Driver's Licence.
