Mitchell Services has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Purchasing Coordinator to join our Brisbane Head Office in a full‐time, permanent capacity.

This role is ideally suited to a senior purchasing, logistics, or warehouse professional who is ready to step into a leadership position or is already operating at a supervisor level. You will take ownership of the purchasing and warehouse function, while also acting as a key support to leadership and a fill‐in supervisor when required.

The Role

This is a hands‐on role responsible for overseeing the purchasing, warehouse, and logistics function, ensuring the efficient and cost‐effective supply of equipment, parts, and services to support national operations.

You will work in a small team, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that purchasing and logistics activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with company processes and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support purchasing officers and warehouse staff when required
* Lead day‐to‐day purchasing, warehouse, and logistics activities
* Manage end‐to‐end purchasing processes including requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier engagement
* Support tenders, bulk orders, and supplier negotiations
* Oversee inventory management, stocktakes, and stock movement across sites
* Ensure accurate and efficient allocation of stock and materials
About You

You are an experienced and confident professional who understands purchasing and logistics in an operational environment and is ready to lead, influence, and improve processes.

You will bring:

* Proven experience in purchasing, logistics, or warehouse operations
* Demonstrated ability to lead or step into a supervisory role
* Strong understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes
* Experience working with systems such as Pronto and/or REDMAP (highly regarded)
* Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability
* Ability to communicate effectively with operational and leadership teams
Desirable
* Previous experience in mining, drilling, construction, or heavy industry
* Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain)
