Job Description
Reporting to the Site Coordinator, Operators are responsible for the safe handling and storage of fuel products, and for facilitating operational, maintenance and product‐quality activities. Collaboration and communication are essential for the safe and efficient operation of the terminal. The role is full‐time, Monday to Friday, with additional hours required for shipments, evenings, weekends or public holidays.
Responsibilities
* Share safety knowledge and maintain a "safety first" mindset.
* Actively participate in HSSE activities such as safety meetings, hazard identification, work insights and emergency response planning.
* Implement operational procedures safely and efficiently.
* Complete monitoring, sampling and testing of fuel and fuelling equipment.
* Use the company management systems.
* Provide safe access to plant and equipment via work clearances, gas testing, permitting and isolations.
* Carry out surveillance and inspections, support preventative, follow‐on and reactive work orders using the JDE maintenance management system.
* Perform basic maintenance and housekeeping duties in operational areas.
* Support maintenance and project work, ensuring safe and efficient interface between operational and project/maintenance activities.
* Perform other operational activities as required by the Site Coordinator.
Qualifications
* Commitment to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) and a desire to contribute to a high‐performing team.
* Dependable, detail‐oriented, strong communication skills, positive and flexible attitude.
* Curiosity about operations or technology and a track record of ownership and delivery.
* Strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude and good communication skills.
