Join our Kalgoorlie workshop team on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, dollies, and heavy vehicles. This is a hands‐on role offering the chance to work across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, including brakes, suspension, steering, and engines. You'll also be involved in welding, fabrication, and basic auto electrical work, helping to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and fully operational.
What You'll Be Doing
* Operate on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth to Kalgoorlie
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trucks, trailers, dollies, and fleet vehicles
* Service and maintain brakes, suspension, steering systems, hydraulic systems, and major engine components
* Carry out welding, grinding, and chassis or comb rail repairs on flat‐top trailers
* Conduct basic auto electrical work across 12V and 24V systems
* Order, replace, and maintain parts to meet quality standards and manufacturer specifications
* Minimise fleet downtime by ensuring vehicles are roadworthy, compliant, and fully operational
What You'll Bring
* Trade‐qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with proven experience working on trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
* Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
* Experience with welding, fabrication, and auto electrical work highly regarded.
* Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) highly desirable.
* A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast‐paced workshop environment.
* Unrestricted HR licence.
