About the role
Located in Cleveland is Estia Health's brand new high rise Residential Aged Care Facility. To ensure our residents receive a high standard of healthy nutritional meals that respect their choices and dietary requirements, we are seeking a Head Chef to work Monday to Friday
As Head Chef you'll:
* Manage day to day operations in the kitchen
* Lead and manage a team of kitchen staff
* Responsible for Menu planning in consultation with residents/representatives, Dietitians, Senior staff to ensure the menu provides for, adequate nutrition and hydration, cultural and spiritual needs, enjoyment of food and special occasions
* Efficient and effective management of the catering service including human resource management and ordering of supplies
* Create a warm and welcoming environment where residents can look forward to enjoying a meal in the company of others
* Plans, documents, implements, monitors, and evaluates the Food Safety Plan
* Takes great pride in preparing and delivering appropriately nutritious food to the highest quality and service standards in line with Estia Health guidelines
* Attention to food handling and hygiene standards and the ability to ensure menus can cater to diverse individual needs
* Train and mentor, kitchen team to the expected standards.
* Formal qualifications in Commercial Cookery - Minimum Certificate III
* Previous experience in a similar role
