A career at ASC is like no other, delivering a deeper purpose we can all be proud of.About the OpportunityJoin the SSN AUKUS Build Program as a Manufacturing Engineer, where you'll work with Program engineering, production and planning teams to support the establishment, optimisation, and execution of submarine manufacturing processes, systems, and technologies.
The role will focus on applying best practices, tools, and lessons learned from previous submarine programs and adapting them to the Australian context.
The incumbent will play a key role in delivering engineering outcomes that support the successful build of SSN AUKUS submarines in Australia.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with program teams to develop and document submarine manufacturing processes, workflows, and systems.Identify and evaluate opportunities for capability development, including tooling, technologies, and production methodologies.Support the development and execution of production readiness plans for the Australian Shipbuilder.Participate in production planning, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives within the Australian environment.Maintain accurate records of lessons learned, technical observations, and improvement opportunities.Foster strong working relationships with domestic engineering, production, and planning teams to support long-term capability development.Contribute to the development of training materials and onboarding resources for Australian manufacturing teams.About YouDegree in Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering discipline.Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a complex, high-precision production environment.Strong understanding of production planning, process optimisation, and quality assurance in regulated industries.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges.Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance.This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to an NV1 level.
