Who are we and what we need?
Independent Timber Supplies is a WA business that is locally owned and has been operating for over 30 years. We service a range of Project Builders, Custom Builders and Owner Builders with our timber supply and manufacturing of prefab frames and trusses in the Western Australian building market.
Your good work ethic is as important as your good sense of humour!
We are seeking an energetic and results driven Leading Hand or Team Leader to maximise our team's potential through effective leadership. This role will offer you the chance to take on a range of skills with growth space in prefab frames and trusses while showcasing your people skills.
About the role:
* Support the Manufacturing Supervisor in day-to-day targets and deadlines with all teams on site.
* Lead the assembly, logistics, inventory, and people in line with company values and goals.
* Be the champion of a safe work site, upholding high standards in work practice and awareness – Lead by example.
* Be well organised and detail-oriented.
To be successful you will need:
* Willingness to undergo Drug and Alcohol testing prior to employment and a willingness to participate in random testing during employment.
* Demonstrate at interview experience leading a team.
* Desire for long-term employment with a willingness to learn, grow and develop.
* Ability to work full-time hours – Monday to Friday, 6am to 2.30pm for above award rates.
