Job Description
This is a permanent, part‐time position. You will be supported by a Director of Service and will play a key role in delivering quality care.
Service Location
Ascot, QLD 4007. The service includes Early Learning Centre children, so a Diploma of Early Childhood Education or a working towards one is required.
Shifts
Monday to Friday: 2:15 pm – 6:00 pm (25 hours per week).
The Role – Ready to Grow Your Leadership?
As Second in Charge (2IC) you will lead daily care activities, support the Director of Service and ensure compliance with all regulations.
Responsibilities
* Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
* Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences tailored to children's preferences.
* Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
* Play and provide engaging activities for primary‐school aged children.
* Ensure program compliance with industry regulations.
The Successful Candidate
* Has or is working towards a Diploma of Early Childhood Education (as per ACECQA standards).
* Can be trained into Before and After School Care or education roles.
* Thives in a fast‐paced environment and maintains a positive, can‐do attitude.
* Communicates confidently with children, parents, team members and school principals.
* Is a strong team player with excellent problem‐solving skills.
* Is passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary‐aged children.
* Is energetic, enthusiastic and loves engaging with children.
* Will complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko before commencement.
