Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Bookkeeper to join our team.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Bookkeeping Manager, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients and delivering full-function bookkeeping services. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, client interaction, and working across multiple industries.
This position offers flexibility, including a mix of office-based work in West Perth and occasional client visits as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing end-to-end bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients including:
* Accounts Receivable: Invoicing, receipting, statements, and follow-up of outstanding debts.
* Accounts Payable: Bill processing, supplier reconciliations, and payment scheduling.
* Payroll: Payroll processing, STP reporting, superannuation, and compliance.
* Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Monthly reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, loans, and balance sheet accounts.
* Compliance: Preparation and lodgement of monthly and quarterly instalment and business activity statements and other ATO reporting requirements.
* Reporting: Preparation of monthly and quarterly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
* Advisory: Identifying discrepancies and proactively resolving issues, while providing bookkeeping advice and support to clients.
* Processes & Systems: Assisting with process improvement and implementing efficiencies using various systems and apps.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will meet the following criteria.
Essential
* At least 1 year of proven bookkeeping experience, ideally in a multi-client environment.
* Experience using cloud accounting software.
* High attention to detail and efficiency in your work.
* Flexibility to work both in the office and onsite at clients' premises.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisation and time management skills.
* Legal right to work in Australia.
Desirable
* Proficiency in Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.
* Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping qualification (or currently working towards it).
