About the role
Working under general direction from the Business Unit Lead–School Services, this role is responsible and accountable for providing holistic and strategic support to autistic individuals in educational and clinical environments, in consultation with Senior School Inclusion Practitioners, other Allied Health Professionals, and Parents/Carers.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide holistic and strategic 1:1 support to autistic individuals in school, clinic, home and community settings
* Collaborate with schools & parents delivering evidence‐informed personalised strategic supports to autistic children
* Develop personalised therapeutic resources/tools to support client progress & inclusion within their setting
* Development of SMART goals for the individual in consultation with parents/carers and that are reflective of the individual's NDIS plan within the allocated support timeframe.
* Work is primarily based in schools and community across southern and metro Adelaide, with travel between appointments required.
What you will need to succeed
* A relevant allied health qualification (Bachelor of Disability and Developmental Education; Bachelor of Social Work; Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours))
* Current or eligibility for full membership of the relevant professional association, e.g., Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Developmental Educators Association, Australian Association of Social Workers, Speech Pathology Australia (as defined by the NDIS professional qualification requirement of the relevant profession)
* Relevant expertise and experience to provide person‐centred NDIS therapeutic supports and services
* Satisfactory DHS Working with Children Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening, and National Police Check
* Willing to obtain a Catholic Education Clearance
