About the Role
As part of the Midwifery Group Practice program you will provide continuity of care to women throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. You will manage a caseload of women, delivering 24‑hour support in collaboration with fellow midwives. Your responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions to facilitate normal birth strategies and achieve optimal birthing goals.
You will work independently, managing your own workload and time, and you will be supported by a Clinical Midwife Specialist Team Leader and district midwife educators and consultants. Working hours include one weekend each month, with flexible work practices. Professional development opportunities are available to help you advance your career.
Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme
