The opportunity & how you will make an impact:
This is a 13-month parental leave contract opportunity to join Urbis in an on-site role based at a sub-regional shopping centre in Endeavour Hills, Melbourne, supporting the centre and its client.
As Marketing Manager, you will lead the delivery of a strategic, customer-led marketing program that drives visitation, strengthens community connection and enhances long-term asset value. This role offers a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of asset management, marketing and client advisory—bringing a more integrated and commercially focused approach to how assets are positioned and perform.
Working closely with asset management, retailers and internal teams, you will ensure a consistent, high-quality customer experience, while tailoring broader marketing initiatives to resonate at a local level.
You will:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Deliver and execute the marketing strategy and annual plan across a portfolio of retail assets
* Drive visitation, engagement and sales performance through integrated campaigns, events and activations
* Position each asset as a relevant community destination through locally tailored marketing initiatives
* Lead digital and content strategy, including social, CRM and customer engagement platforms
* Partner closely with retailers and leasing teams to support store performance, openings and key trading periods
* Use customer, campaign and performance data to inform strategy and optimise outcomes
* Manage budgets, agencies and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, commercially focused marketing outcomes
About you:
* 7+ years' experience in retail, shopping centre or place-based marketing, ideally across multi-site or portfolio environments
* Proven ability to develop and deliver integrated campaigns from strategy through to execution
* Strong understanding of retail performance drivers, customer behaviour and commercial outcomes
* Experience across digital, content and traditional marketing channels
* Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including retailers, agencies and internal teams
* Proactive, hands‐on and highly organised, with strong project management capability
* Relevant qualifications in Marketing, Communications or a related discipline (preferred)
